Chili Cook-off 2017
Application & Rules Information
- All Applicants must pay $15.00 per item to enter Chili and $10 per item to cook beans
- All entries must be in no later than 10:00am the day of the Cook-Off or submitted with your BBQ application.
- No more than five (5) Cooks are allowed per team, including the Chief Cook.
- Please have a Fire Extinguisher on site.

This event is held by the Lockhart Chamber of Commerce & Chisholm Trail Roundup with all rules for judging written by these organizations.
Contestants entering the Chili Cook-off may setup after 5pm on Thursday prior to the Cook-off but ONLY if entry fee has been paid. All contestants MUST vacant the Lockhart City Park by Noon on Sunday. Security provided Friday and Saturday only.
No more than five (5) Cooks are allowed per team, including the Chief Cook. The Chief Cook will be responsible for the conduct of the team. Excessive use of alcoholic beverages will be grounds for disqualification(s).
MEETING OF COOKS
A Mandatory Cooks meeting for all categories will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 10:00am at the Main Pavilion.
Cooks are to prepare and cook in as sanitary manner as possible. Cooking conditions are subject to inspection by judging committee. Infractions identified by the judging committee shall be immediately corrected or the cook will be subject to disqualification. During and after the event each team is required to keep the area clean of all trash.
NO OPEN/GROUND FIRES ARE PERMITTED!!!
